Confession

Reconciliation.jpg

In this sacrament, we receive the mercy of God and the power to change as we accept responsibility for the pain we have caused others and offense given to God.  When we feel the need to come to the sacrament, God's grace is already at work in us.  Coming to Confession at least once a month is a good practice for the disciple striving to grow in holiness.

There are regularly scheduled opportunities to celebrate the sacrament which are shown here.  There are communal penance services in Advent and Lent, and one can always call the parish office to see about scheduling a confession by appointment.

Preparation for children for the first reception of the Sacrament of Confession usually happens in the fall and winter of a child's second grade year, just before the celebration of First Communion.  Learn more about your child's First Confession preparation at ChippewaFallsFaithFormation.net
